The last place I find things for my home is Craig's List. We have not bought many things off of Craigslist, but the few things we have gotten. I love!
Shad found my original chalkboard dresser in the "free" section on Craigslist. That is a great place to find project pieces.
When we needed a new couch, we searched Craigslist for months! Once we decided that we wanted a chesterfield couch it was a little bit easier. We expanded our search and tried cities that were within two hours. We did not mind driving a little further for a good price.
When we called the seller, she had already sold the couch, but we left her our info just in case it fell through. The next day, she called us back and took our offer.
When using Craigslist, just use some common sense to keep yourself safe. If you feel like the add is shady....it probably is.
