5 Minute Friday- I feel most loved when...

I don't normally post twice in one day, but I found Five Minute Friday over at the Gypsy Mama, thanks to this new blogger friend. The rules for the post are that it only has to take you five minutes to write. (There's also a small prize involved, and I can't resist a prize.) This week's topic is...

I feel most loved when...

Earlier this week, I was going about my normal business when Shad stopped me. He looked me straight in the eyes and told me, "I have been thinking about you today at work, and how lucky I am." He then went on to say several things that he loved about me. The things he loved about me focused on who I was as a person. Who I am at my heart, and not just the things that I do for him. I know he loves my cooking, and I know he loves that I take care of the boys, but I feel most loved when he reminds me that he loves me for who I am not just what I do.

  3. I am so glad you are participating! I know exactly what you mean, because I love to be told the same. ;) I love that you said he looked you in the eyes when he said it...a beautiful word picture. Be blessed this weekend. ;)

  4. so so powerful to be loved for who we are instead of the things we do...because the things we do oftentimes change with seasons.

  5. Priceless! I think that is HUGE for us as women. What a blessing to have a man who knows this and blesses you by looking deeper!

  6. This is beautiful. To look you in the eyes, speak from his heart and compliment you on your heart. So often we go about our daily routines and don't remember to convey to our spouses our deep love for them. When couples are dating they tell each other these sorts of things all the time. After they're married some of that romance gets forgotten. I love that your husband cherishes you and he paused to tell you. I can see where that would make anyone feel "most loved." Thank you for sharing.
